Austin Fairbanks

Austin Fairbanks is the founder and president of Arrowhead Policy. He has years of experience advising politicians at the national and state levels, in both the executive and legislative arenas. Austin is known for applying sound economic principles and an understanding of the current political environment to public policy issues.

Austin was born and raised in Arizona. He attended Arizona State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Politics and the Economy, summa cum laude. He then went on to graduate from George Mason University with a master’s in Economics as a Mercatus Center Fellow. While there, Austin was a graduate policy intern at the White House Office of Management and Budget during the first Trump administration.

He returned to Arizona and served as the House of Representatives’ Appropriations Analyst. In this role, Austin was part of the House’s budget negotiation team and provided research and testimony on hundreds of pieces of legislation, including the state’s $18 billion budget.

Austin was a key manager of intake for the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency during the 2024 Presidential transition. Today, Austin serves as full-time policy director for a former Republican Presidential candidate and current gubernatorial candidate, in addition to his role leading Arrowhead Policy.
